Undergraduates are important young group for the country to cultivate; they are closely related with the country’s future prosperity as the backbone of the country. A person who wants to succeed should realize and understand himself clearly and establish good relationships with the people around. And the importance of the emotional intelligence for success has already got many successful people’s approval. At present, the emotional intelligence research on P.E. undergraduates as a special group is rather less. So this article attempts to investigate and analysis the emotional intelligence condition of the P.E. undergraduates, find the existing problems and put forward some countermeasures so as to lay the theoretical basis for the development of the emotional intelligence of the P.E. undergraduates.This paper investigates the emotional intelligence of P.E. undergraduates in Shen yang through adopting literature data method, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics, and inspects whether the difference exists in the emotional intelligence between different sexes, different birthplaces, different grades, different professions, different exercise levels, consumption of different months, party members and non-party people, only children and non-only children, student cadres and non-student cadres college students.The results are as follows: The emotional intelligence scores of girls are higher than that of male students; The emotional intelligence scores of students in big cities are highest, generally higher than that of the students in medium and small cities and rural. The emotional intelligence scores of the second grade students are the lowest. Emotional intelligence scores have a positive correlation with students’monthly expenditure. The emotional intelligence scores of the only-child children are higher than the non-only-child children.Party member students’ emotional intelligence scores are higher than the non-party members. The emotional intelligence scores of student cadres are higher than that of the non-student cadres.The more the community participation is, the higher the level of emotional intelligence is.The higher the exercise level is, the better the emotional intelligence is.According to the results of this study, puts forward relevant countermeasures : Strengthening the construction of campus culture to create the atmosphere of emotional intelligence training; Setting up emotional intelligence courses and emphasis on the development of emotional intelligence; Raising the emotional intelligence level of the teachers,so as to set an example to the students;Change teaching evaluation methods and focus on the process evaluation ; Using the advantages of physical education curriculum to improve student’s emotional intelligence condition; Using a variety of practical activities to improve the level of emotional intelligence; Paying more attention to the special groups.
