Sports Industry In China’s Eastern Provinces, Industry Structure And Layout Of Policy Research

Sports industry has been considered as one of the most important components of cultural industries. It has become a new growth point since the overall start of the12th Five-year Plan. It’s well known that the structure of local sports industry is one of the dominant factors that influencing one region’s economic development of sports industry; whereas the structure generally depends on the leading industries in local areas. Therefore, the study of the choice of the leading industry not only has the profoundly significance, but also has its practical meanings, especially for the eastern areas during its initial developing stage.This analysis integrates the knowledge of physical education, economics, sociology and law, from a point of view of the industrial policies, based on the corresponding theory of regional economics, industrial economics, development economics in order to provide foundation. With the methods of compare the analysis and induce to cite proof, logic analysis etc, comparative analysis, the industrial structure and the leading industries are determined considering the social, economic environment for the development of sports industry in eastern provinces, as well the existing analysis results of domestic and international research. And some suggestions are pointed out for the development of sport industry in eastern provinces as well. It is learned that Bohai Rim region, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta possess significant location advantages, while there are differences in the structure of sports industry, in the selection of leading industry and in the suggestion among the three areas.The innovations of this thesis are as follows:I) There is little analysis about the out environment for the development of sports industry. Besides, the former index system has been incapable in evaluating the current level of social, economic development. This paper includes three aspects:objective aspect, criterion aspect, norm aspect.51basic indices are chosen for the evaluation of the social, economic environment for sports industry.II) Sports industry is a rising industry with the development of regional economy. The current analysis on this industry is merely during the stage of theoretical analysis, which is considered less convincing. In this thesis, a Shift-share-Analysis method is introduced in evaluating the industrial structure. The leading industries are selected through the Xiaoyuan method. The results are possibly significant for the development of sports industry in local areas. Ⅲ) The development of sports industry depends on appropriate policies. The existing researches mainly give fuzzy suggestions for the development of sports industry at a national scale. In this thesis, location characteristic, industrial structure and the leading industry are considered in suggesting policies, which is consequently pertinent and would suggest selectively develop sports industry in local areas and avoid waste of resources, thus leading to a flourishing development of sports industry.
