Correlative Study Between The Psychological Behavior Of Female College Students And Campus Design

The paper which focused on female students’behavioral and psychological needs, looked for what elements they concerned in the outer space of college . The ultimate purpose is to explore the main outer space elements that may influence female students’psychological feelings, which can be referenced when designing.The main method used in research is Post Occupancy Evaluation: at first, a questionnaire was used to find out the elements of outer space of colleges that girls concerned, using ISM modeling to establish an element system. Then observation and analysis was made by the behavior of some individual cases in several places. By the combination of the work above, squares and lake scenery of several colleges were investigated, using Semantic Differential method to quantify the girls’evaluation of the space and Depthmap for Space Syntax to quaintify the space. Eventally ,put all the data into SPSS software and do a series of statistical analysis,such as Faceor Analysis,Correlation Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis.,and then integrated all the results to find the most important elements which can influence the gilrs’comfort,security,privacy, senses of direction and atmosphere , and the degree of influence of each factor.For women,the research of establishing the correlation between the space elements and psychological experience has broad prospects,But only when the designers put them into practice ,the result can have its positive practical significance.
