| What mathematical abilities of pupils should Primary Mathematics Education develop? How to evaluate a pupil’s development of mathematical ability? These are the two important issues related to the effectiveness of primary mathematics education. And they are worth every math teacher’s while to think over, practice and research. In this paper, Gardner’s "multiple intelligences" and other relevant research results at home and abroad are as the theoretical basis. It also has close ties with mathematics curriculum standards. It proposes a view of " pupils’mathematical multiple abilities ", and defines pupils’mathematics "eight elements" capacities: operation ability, mathematical ability, asking questions and problem solving ability, spatial imagination ability, mathematical reasoning ability, obtaining and analyzing mathematics information ability, mathematics experimental operation ability and mathematical communication ability. Further more it proposes that primary mathematics education is to help pupils develop the mathematical abilities soundly. To this end, we need to change the current primary school math teaching and evaluation problems, optimize the development of primary school math and evaluation of multiple intelligence strategies.I’ve made a comprehensive analysis and study on the status of current primary school mathematics education and evaluation in Weifang City, taking experimental research as a means and the evaluation of Primary Mathematics Education in Weifang city (emphasis Weicheng District) as the research object, through access to information, questionnaires, interviews and other research methods. At last I’ve obtained the factors that affect the development and evaluation of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities, such as math teachers’lesson preparation problems, teaching problems, homework problems, lack of goal-oriented evaluation, evaluation of the contents of the too narrow field, limited evaluation results to improve teaching and learning activities. On this basis, through the practice and exploration at experimental schools and classes, I’ve summarized the strategies for the development and evaluation of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities, including the reform of the traditional math lesson planning; the implementation of the "three links" lesson planning strategies(capacity target location- capacity activities design- Reflections on the capacity development); carrying out the math teaching and learning activities scientifically, making activities as the carrier of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities and optimizing the development strategies for pupils’ mathematical multiple abilities; laying out rich, vivid math homework; defining the evaluation principles and criteria of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities; creating the carrier of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities evaluation- evaluation activities; fully describing the developing level of pupils’mathematical multiple abilities. |
