The history of the development of competitive sports for the disabled has more than60years. International sports system for the disabled is becoming perfect and also the competitivelevel constantly improving. The13th Paralympic Games was successfully held in Beijing in2008. With the theme of "surmounting, the fusion, sharing”, Beijing Paralympic Games realizedthe promise about "two Olympics, the same wonderful". In this paper, literature, on-the-spotinvestigation, expert interview, questionnaires, and mathematical statistics methods are used. Theauthor researched Guang xi’s performances when attended international games as well as leaders,coaches and athletes in the delegation for the disabled of Guangxi province in The8th NationalGames of Disabled Persons. The author also analyzed the development of sports for the disabledin Guangxi to find out some existing problems and put forward some reasonable suggestions.Finally the research shows that sports for disabled in Guangxi developed earlier. In the past,Guangxi kept a outstanding achievements and was a strong province. But in recent years,Guangxi has declining. At present the development of Guangxi’s sports for the disabled hasfollowing problems: lacking of a sound management system, no specialized managementorganization; training mode is not reasonable, can’t guarantee training consistency; sportstraining fund is inadequate, no fixed training space,equipment and facilities; lack of full-timecoaches, and the team is not stable, professional job training opportunities are less; the chance ofathletes attending games are few, lacking of actual combat experience; scientific research is weak,the leaders are not give enough attention, society also pay not much attention to the sports for thedisabled.
