The Research On The Construction And Development Of Disabled Sports

The competitive sports for the disabled is a kind of social practice of the humanbeings. Its development has the same pace with the society development and has abasic cause-effect relationship with human’s politics， economy， culture， education，science and technology. Gansu province is an underdeveloped because of the influenceof topography, economy, culture and so on. The competitive sports in Gansu provincehave made much progress over years and become the first place among the northwestprovinces, and gained the better results in the national tournaments. With the all-rounddevelopment of social undertakings, the competitive sports in Gansu province hasshowed a decreasing trend. Therefore, how to evaluate objectively the existingproblems and take some measures to speed up the development of the sports for peoplewith disabilities have become a urgent problems. The research, based on the presentsituation of the competitive sports for the disabled, analyzes the constructive factors,finds out the reasons of declining and puts forward some suggested measures.Through the documentary materials, questionnaire survey, practical investigation,logical analysis, mathematical statistics etc. the paper choose the leading personnel,coaches and athletes as the study objects to investigate the present situation of thedisability sports. According to the laws and regulations about the disability sports,combined with the economic and regional characteristics of Gansu province, the paperanalyzes the existing problems and puts forward some rational suggestions. From thesurvey, it can be easily seen that the decline in the competitive sports for the disabledis related to its economy. Inadequate funds and venues can’t drive the coaches’enthusiasm and athletes’ devotion. Less sports competitions, less chance to attend thematch and poor technological contents lead to the decreasing performance. Meanwhile,due to the arbitrary, non-standardized and non-systematic management system,athletes’ life after their retirement isn’t perfect and the coaches group is unsteady. Theaim of the paper is about how to improve these factors, and to construct a perfect,scientific and reasonable competition system, to promote the steady development andprovide the reference to the long-term development of the competitive sports for thedisabled in Gansu province.
