A Research On The Status Quo And Development Of Sports Philanthropy In China

Under the guidance of the national policy,China's sports philanthropy undertakings show a burgeoning trend along with the successful holding of the Beijing Olympic Games.The development of sports philanthropy undertakings is one of the most important ways to build the harmonious society in China.We have to consider the problems existed in the status quo,by learning the advanced foreign experience to take the advantages of technology in order to push forward the undertakings.This study focuses on the status quo of sports philanthropy undertakings in China, and reflects some problems in the development.Through the analysis of the typical operating examples,the author proposed some feasible developing mode and ways for the further improvement of sports philanthropy undertakings of China.The main methods of this study:method of literature review,method of experts'interview,and method of logic analysis.The main conclusions are:1.There are still a large number of problems which exists in the status quo.Generally speaking,these problems mainly focus on the organization building,resources aggregation,government policies,laws and regulations etc.2.There are some problems existed in the operation of the institutions: the numbers of organizations are quite small;the ability of donation collecting is relatively weak;the sports philanthropy organizations are lack of public credibility;there is no information statistic system; the item implement is simple,etc.3.In the development of China's sports philanthropy undertakings,the prevalent mode of sports philanthropy should combine all sorts of the strength with government,non-governmental,and the society in order to make a better improvement for our sports philanthropy undertakings by a scientific manage mode.4.To build a harmonious society in the new era,China's sports philanthropy undertakings should find some new ways:to strengthen the public credibility of institutions;change the relationship between government and the organizations;take the advantages of government resources to get private resources;improve the incentive politics of donation;make an introduction of the third-party institutions;brand project to propaganda sports philanthropy;expand the volunteer team of sports philanthropy.
