Practice And Exploration Of Trade Unions To Safeguard The Rights Of Migrant Workers

The migrant worker is a special group in China’s industrialization and urbanization. This group, as a new part of the China’s workforce, is the main force of our nation’s economic construction, and has made a great contribution to the development of China’s market economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics. However, in reality, this large workforce colony still belongs to a vulnerable one. Gravely has the migrant worker’s rights been violated, which has affected China’s construction of the harmonious society. Right-protection is the basic duties of the Labor Union, and to protect migrant worker’s right is the core work among Labor Union’s right-protection work. Yet many objective problems still exist in the process of the Labor Union’s migrant worker’s right-protection work, which affect the effectiveness of the Labor Union’s work concerning with migrant worker’s right protection. On the basis of theories in public administration, this thesis investigated the current situation of migrant worker’s interest and right protection; then this thesis researched the problems that exist in the process of the Labor Union’s work concerning with the migrant worker’s right-protection, and reasons that caused these problems are analyzed after the research part; last but not the least, combining with the actual maintenance of migrant worker’s right-protection work in Anyang, this thesis made a new exploration and practice about the Labor Union’s work concerning migrant worker’s right protection in the new era.
