Since1951, China and Pakistan established diplomatic relationship, the two countries’ bilateral relations have maintained stable development without much waves and downs. Mutual strategic requirements, especially common security interests are the underlying causes of the two countries’ close relations.The China-Pakistan relations are facing new challenges in the21st century. The contradictions between the rise of China’s rapid development and the chaotic turmoil of Pakistan begin to show, which derived a lot of problems. China’s national development strategy and the surrounding strategy make China-Pakistan strategic needs decline and change the content of cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan can not make good use of the opportunities brought by the rise of China. The structural contradictions between the two countries highlights, the development of political, military, and economic and cultural are seriously imbalances. Besides, the changes of external factors, especially the United States and India factors also have a great impact on the China-Pakistan relations.Faced with the challenges of the China-Pakistan relations in the new era, the two countries must strengthen the sense of urgency and take the initiative.but not simply satisfied with the status. Pakistan is seeking membership of "Shanghai Cooperation Organization" to open up the development of new cooperative point between the two countries.
