China is in the period of social transforms in current. The urban social livingstructure is changing from “working unit system” to “community system”. Thetraditional neighborhood relations which relied on blood, relatives and karma werebroken during the transition process. But with the development and requirement ofthe market economy, new neighborhood relations have not been established. Inaddition, affected by various complex factors, the community neighborhoodrelations have been weakened and it shows like gaps. Neighborhood estrangementis a social disease and appears in the social transformation of China. Moreover, it isthe modern urban communities in a common phenomenon.Neighborhoodestrangement leads to interpersonal tensions, community trust crisis spread,community neighborhood dispute and community crime increases. These factorsdo harm to harmonious society. Therefore, it is very important to establish amodern community adapt to a new neighborhood and break the impasse ofneighborhood estrangement. This is not only helpful to modern communityconstructing, but also constructing harmonious society.I do this study selecting Nanning Z community for the object. The paperanalyzed the status and problems of the neighborhood estrangement byquestionnaire. By analyzing the causes of the urban neighborhood estrangement, Imainly search from government，community and residents these3aspects. Thecardinal aspect, I suppose the government should play a leading role to provideguidelines and supports to realize neighborhood exchanges to a bettertrends.Secondly, communities should play an aggregation role, and actively builda new platform for neighborhood communications. Last but not the least, residentsshould convert their concepts, positively and actively communicate with theneighbors. For instance, taking part in or hold the Neighborhood Activities bythemselves.
