Furthermore, this paper would analyse the position of the narcissisticpersonality of literary creation on the possibly objective stance. Finally, historical significanceand limitations of the creation of these writers are to be evaluated. The first chapter focuses on performances of writers’ narcissistic personality.Combined therepresentative writers’ cases of narcissistic personality and theory about narcissistic personality, this chapter analyzes and summarizes the three manifestations of writers’ narcissistic personality, which is closely related to writers’ creation, such as loneliness, rebellion and contradiction: Thelonely performances on narcissistic personality are that in personal writing style, the authors’ andthe heroes’ loneliness attitude and lonely temperament that shrouded around works; The rebellion of writers’ narcissistic personality performs on rebellion against traditional values, and theauthors’ and heroes’ rebellious posture; Contradictory manifestations of narcissistic personalityare contradictions on the author and the hero personality level, such as multiple love and sexyconnations such as homosexuality, self-love and heterosexuality, and carnival texts. The second chapter mainly traces reasons of formation about writers’ narcissistic personality, from two aspects of individual physiological mechanism and social living environment: theformer mainly analyzes the influence of the formation about writers’ narcissistic personality fromthe biological view such as the character, temperament and blood types; the latter explores theformation about writers’ narcissistic personality in two aspects between individual environmentsuch as family, school and integral environment such as times, countries, cultures. As the key part of the article, the third chapter illustrates the problem of the relationshipbetween writers’ narcissistic personality and their literary creation, mainly from the followingthree aspects: positive and negative influences about writers’ narcissistic personality on literarywriting, and retroactions on writers’ narcissistic personality. This chapter mainly would researchthe following typical writers: British author D.H. Lawrence, French writer Marguerite Duras andthe domestic contemporary writer Lin Bai, which would be helpful to highlight the contradictoryeffects for these writers with" both success and failure for their narcissistic personality ".The first section mainly discusses the positive influence of writers’ narcissistic personalityon literary writing: Firstly, narcissistic personality is that the motivation and source for thesewriters to write. Secondly, narcissistic personality gives these writers an unique life experience, which would be good for making the subjects and themes about literature creation obtaining thedistinct writing characters, so as to promote the formation of the writers’ creative styles; Thirdly, the writers’ narcissistic personality leads to the literary creation in a close state, which isconducive to the splash of inspiration and emotional expression deeply. The second section discusses the negative impact of the narcissistic personality of thewriters on literary creation, which is mainly embodied in two aspects of the characters’ batteredstate and lack of rational spirit in the texts. In addition, writing on topics about narcissisticexperiences is lying to the identical rigid creation for long, which is not conducive to the creationof works and vitality to keep. The third section briefly describes influences of literature creation on writers’ narcissisticpersonality, the writing is the important channel for narcissistic writers’ emotional release, and togive the effects on writers’ narcissistic personality for strengthening or weakening. The fourth chapter is the evaluation about literary creation of the writers with narcissisticpersonality. So I advice that the critics only stand in a neutral and objective point to view narcissistic personality of writers and their creation justly would pursue the real value and thesignificance of writers’ creation, so as to restore the public the truth of history. Accordingly, thischapter, mainly from the macroscopical perspective of anthropology, breaks through the genderlimitations, in order to make a more objective evaluation for the historical significance of thecreation of writers having the narcissistic personality, and sum up in three points. Firstly, writershaving narcissistic personality made themselves as the basis, which have promoted thetransformation of literary theme from uppercased man to lowercased man, and the modernizationof literature. In the second place, in literary creation way, the writers having narcissisticpersonality uncovered the veil of the human nature, broke through the traditional texts’ cognitivelimitations for life, made literature gradually return to its essence. Thirdly, for these writers, thewriting is not only the means of earning a living, but also the basement of existence, writing andlife are inseparable. From this perspective, the value of writing itself is got popular, which isrealistic guidance for today’s literary world. The conclusion part of the thesis is mainly based on the negative impacts, which have beeninvolved in the fourth chapter, whose purpose is briefly to describe the production aboutlimitations of writers’ narcissistic personality on their literary creation and to explore thepossibility of approaches to break through the limitations. The limitations on literary creation ofnarcissistic writers are mainly manifested as lack of rational spirits and the rigid tendencies oftheir writings. The main causes of these limitations are the absence of external life experienceand internal faith. If those writers who have narcissism seek the solutions to break through thelimitations on literature from the two aspects, perhaps they could obtain some benefits.
