Objective: In many consulting cases of internet dependence on adolescent problems, we found thatfamily factors become one of the leading causes of adolescent psychological problems. Because of thespecial living and education environment background in China, the growth environment of the studentstends to have closely relationship with their parents. Different family environment will have differentinfluence on the student. Psychological problems of adolescents are mostly due to family factors,including which adolescent internet dependence is a main problem. In this study, we use the case ofinternet dependence of the adolescent to explore a series of familial intervention program basedconsulting treatment programs. The treatment programs developed in this study, can give psychologists,counselors, front-line educators and parents advices in the education of students, and help the childrensolve internet dependence problem. We hope that the new methods can be able to reduce the negativeinfluence from negative family reasons.Methods: The main method of the study was individual psychological counseling and familialinterventions, including cognitive interventions and behavioral interventions to solve the psychologicalproblems of adolescent internet dependence. We select typical students who have the problem ofadolescent internet dependence as research subjects. The research tools include: The Criterion ofInternet Addiction Disorder, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), Self-report Symptom Checklist (SCL90).Results: After the familial intervention, their psychological problems could basically be solved, learninglife returned to normalization, also helping to build up confidence to overcome various problems. Boththe assessment of practically effective self-assessment questionnaire assessment and patients whichtested confirmed that familial intervention counseling program is effective.Conclusion: The family factors increasingly become the primary cause of internet dependence issuesaffecting young people. Through the intervention of the family to solve adolescent internet dependenceproblem is the most effective way to solve the problem. Familial intervention has significant value forpsychologists, counselors, front-line educators and parents.
