The importance of faith in an artist artistic creation is unusual. Artists in the creation can not be separated from the faith; contrary, works of art is also very easy beliefs of the artist showing the natural heart of the source. The paper concludes that the artistic spirit (faith) is a decision point of the artists ability to create a successful work of art.The main approach adopted in this paper is to compare the method, for example, the analysis and induction, and the Middle Ages, the Renaissance famous artists of faith and works of art, and a series of Chinese grotto statue example to study, and then analyzed and summarized.This article was divided into five parts:the first part of the overall summary of the relationship between art and faith, and religion and art. Chapter â…¡ system combing the religious art of the Middle Ages in Europe, specifically the historical importance of the Gothic art. The third chapter introduces the religious complex in the European Renaissance works of art, highlighting the sculptor Michelangelo. Chapter talk about is the extreme religious zealots Van Gogh and his paintings. Chapter look back and say the Chinese Buddhist art and grotto art.
