In today’s language System,art and design has their own features. Between the features are many kinds of associations. Under the functions by all kinds of the associations between the features of art and design,they maintain the running of the entire society and the lives and production of the people.Generally, if define art as things more focus on carrying the body of the people and define design as things more focus on carrying the spirit of the people, art and design almost can include all of the things in the human society. More important, the the facts can not be departed from each other, because all kinds of things need the participation of human to realize their significance, while the human is the unity of body and spirit. Under the function of the integral whole.the fundamental unit of art and design is formed, which is called unifiedfield. The adjustment of the associations should not only implemented in the macro unifiedfield’formed by design and art but also in each of the micro unifiedfield’of their respective fields.Through the Description and evaluation for some representative cases of design and art in the history (Chinese, western, ancient and modem), I will be more specific to show some typical cases that can properly deal with the association between the features of design and art, through which to explore a series of ways that can construct the unifiedfieldhetter.In theory,although the unifiedfield formed by the features of design and art almost exist in all cultural fields of the society, but the construction procedures of the unified field of design and art are still different from the others. Because its realization of unity is always under the process of exploring Mei, the true meaning of beauty. Therefore, the way of defining design and art as means of Meicould be a appropriate way of balancing the2features of them. The target of means of Mei is just to construct unified field of Mei well, which could be borrowed as a wonderful bridge to achieve self enlightenment’of eternal peace.
