Online counseling has developed rapidly at home and abroad, which has an impact on general counselling. Couselors and clients communicate with each other through a specific IP address in the virtual Cyberspace, there are something unique about the interaction process and relation between process and outcome, which is worthy of further research.In this study,4master’s candidate of applied psychology of Yangzhou University were the consultants.16undergraduate student of Yangzhou University were selected as clients. According to voluntary basis, they were segregated into text-based real-time cybercounseling group and videoconferencing-based real-time cybercounseling group. Every group has2consultants, and each of them communicated with4clients for one hour. Clients filled out OQ45.2before first session and after last session, WAI-SR and SEQ after every session. This study explores process-outcome of cybercounseling. The results were as follows:(1) Text-based real-time cybercounseling and videoconferencing-based real-time cybercounseling both have the necessary conditions for effective consultation.(2) Both the working alliance and the session impact rise in a straight line roughly.(3) The clients in video group have better working alliance than the clients in text group at the beginning of counseling. The clients in video group have better smoothness than the clients in text group at the beginning and middle counseling. The clients in text group have better working alliance than the clients in video group in the end of counseling.(4) There is no significant difference in treatment outcome between real-time cybercounseling and videoconferencing-based real-time cybercounseling. The clients in text group and video group have better interpersonal relations and social role of OQ45.2 than pre-test.(5) For text group, the positivity of session impact correlated significantly with the bond of working alliance. For video group, the depth of session impact correlated significantly with the bond of working alliance.(6) The working alliance of text group correlated significantly with the session impact at the end of counseling. The working alliance of video group correlated significantly with the session impact at the beginning and middle counseling.(7) The bond of working alliance have positive effects on session impact in video group at the beginning counseling. The goal of working alliance have positive effects on session impact in video group at the middle counseling. The goal, task and bond of working alliance have positive effects on session impact in text group at the end-of counseling.(8) For video group, the treatment outcome correlated significantly with the working alliance at the middle counseling. For text and video group, the treatment outcome correlated significantly with the working alliance at the end of counseling.
