High School Students Optimistic Personality, Psychological Control Source And The Relationship Between Mental Health Research

Optimistic about the positive psychology research is an important, positive subjective experience, contemporary psychology of optimism was in full swing. As an inherent trait of human nature, people from different perspectives on the optimistic and pessimistic exploration and research, and finally reach a consensus:the optimism may be a highly beneficial to the psychological characteristics of good mood, persistence, achievement and good health. In this study, the optimism and Mental Health as research subject, the aim of this study is to explore the relationship between high school students’ optimistic personality and their mental health, and trying to know of the high school up in the contemporary new context of overall mental health level.In this study,450high school students from two key high schools of province level in Xian are taken as the researching subjects with the "Optimistic Personality Scale"," Locus of Control Scale "and "the Chinese Students Mental Health Questionnaire" to discuss the relationship among optimistic personality, locus of control and the level of mental health, in this study,we use the application of psychology research software SPSS17.0and Amos7.0-statistical analysis to describe statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis statistical methods to explore the high school optimistic personality, locus of control and mental health of high students.Through analysis and discussion of this study, The conclusion are following::1. There is no significant difference of optimistic personality in high school students, and the locus of control tend to internal control;2. Students’ mental health detection project more in the mild mental level projects, including learning the feeling of pressure, emotional lability, maladaptive, compulsive symptoms, anxiety, interpersonal sensitivity and tension and so on;3. Optimistic personality of high school students is significantly positively correlated with the internal control.at the same time,optimistic personality is significantly negatively correlated with the opportunities and forces others either; Optimistic personality, have a good positive prediction on the internal control sexual opportunities and forces others have a significant negative predict;4. Optimistic personality and mental health has a significant positive correlation; optimistic personality have significant positive effects on mental health;5. The internal control of the psychological control is fully mediated between the optimistic personality and mental health;6. Opportunity and forces others of psychological control of the source are mediators between the optimistic personality and mental health.
