With the warming up of worldwide fervor in learning Chinese these years, the corresponding Chinese textbooks also emerge in an endless stream. Therefore, the selection of a suitable textbook is very important. Now, there are many types of Chinese textbooks, how can we choose good ones? In order to solve this problem, the learners of this field start the research on the compilations of Chinese textbooks. Thailand is one of the countries which we promote Chinese for a long time successfully. But the research on the elementary Chinese books in Thailand is a little deficient.This article treats the series, Experiencing Chinese, which is planned by Hanban, China and the Ministry of Education of Thailand, also promoted by the Ministry of Education of Thailand and the embassy of China in Thailand around the country, as the object of study. Through the methods of building the date base, qualitative description and comparative analysis, the author analyzes the grammar system of the series, Experiencing Chinese High-School Edition comprehensively, including the analysis on the amount of grammar item, the chosen and compilation of grammar items and the grammar exercise. And then, we got some conclusions:about the grammar items, the total number of the grammar items is too large; the average number of grammar items in each lesson is suitable; the grammar items over the outline is too much; the compiling way of grammar items has its advantages and shortcomings; about the grammar exercise, the types of it is rich and experiencing; the trend of the grammar exercise levels is unscientific; the intensity of the grammar exercise is not enough.The article was divided into five parts. The first chapter is an introduction about the significance of the study, literature review and the research method, which magnifies the importance and practicability of this research. The second part is a brief introduction on the situation of Chinese education in Thailand and the series, Experiencing Chinese High-School Edition. In this part, the author describes the developing process of Chinese education in Thailand, and also describes the promotion, users, designing thoughts, series and characteristic of the series, Experiencing Chinese High-School Edition. Then it comes the third chapter, in which we analyzes the amount of grammar item, the chosen and compilation of grammar items and concludes that the total number of the grammar items is too large; the average number of grammar items in each lesson is suitable; the grammar items over the outline is too much; the compiling way of grammar items has its advantages and shortcomings; according to the conclusion, the author gives some countermeasures to make the textbooks more better. The fourth chapter is the analysis on the grammar exercise, including the description of the compilation principle, the count of exercise types, the analysis of the trend of the grammar exercise levels, and the investigate on the intensity of grammar exercise. And we get some conclusions:the types of it are rich and experiencing; the trend of the grammar exercise levels is unscientific; the intensity of the grammar exercise is not enough. Finally, we come to the last chapter, which is a conclusion part; we conclude the achievements and shortcomings of this research.
