Proverbs reflect the life and focusing the wisdom and soul of the nation. Korean andChinese proverbs share dissimilarities as well as commonalities, which processabundant and cultural connotations. Therefore, it is very important to analyze them in acompressive and integrated way. The kind of “discourse behavior” proverbs is analyzedin the paper emphasizing the Similarities and differences in Korean and Chineseproverbs and their reasons. We hope it can help the cross-cultural communication inChinese teaching to foreign students, by pointing out the speaking psychologicalsimilarities and differences between the two countries.There are Chinese “discourse behavior” proverbs with103examples and Korean“discourse behavior” proverbs of80examples in the paper. For Korea proverbs, thewriter use the way of first verbatim translation, then free translation that not only retainthe characteristic feature, but also facilitate the readers understand the article. So, it cancompare with the Chinese verbs objectively. This text is mainly divided into three parts:Chapter one, introduction, explains the purpose of the topic, research status ofproverbs, as well as research contents, methods and innovations of the paper.The second chapter is the main part, which compared the following four aspects,proverb definition, expressive forms and connotations and the figure of speech inproverbs. It aims to compare the verbs more comprehensively and actually.The third chapter concludes the different characteristics of “discourse behavior”proverbs in the two countries, which point to the culture hidden behind the proverbs anddiscuss the important problems in Intercultural communication.
