Shicha Lake is a precious historical cultural reserve of Beijing.She is a combination of humanities landscape and natural landscape with historical and cultural scenic spot. At the same time she is also the densest areas of the temples in Beijing.These temples have changed.Although most of them were not kept completely,scenes of the temples can be found from toponym,Hutong and courtyards.They are extremely rare Beijing cultural heritage.From the very start,Shicha Lake developed from the ancient river of Yongding river.White Lotus Lake,including today’Shicha Lake,played an important role in water transport in the Qing dynasty.With large-scale development and operation of White Lotus Lake area,White it became increasingly important. In the Yuan Dynasty, Jishuitan, as the end of the Grand Canal,became the most prosperous city-wide commercial location.To the Ming Dynasty,Shichahai no longer undertook caoyun.Beacause the scenery is very beautiful, a lot of high-brow loved it and built gardens around it.Qing Dynasty no longer followed the Ming Dynasty champion system.But instead royal government was built around the emperor feet. So a number of palaces were built around Shicha Lake.The palace culture adds a royal color to Shicha Lake culture, expands the cultural connotation, and increases the tourism landscape.The number of temples around Shicha Lake is up to142.They can be divided into three kinds.The first kind is Buddhist jungle, the second kind is Taoist temples,and the last kind is Commemorate the ancestral hall.The temples surrounding Shicha Lake enrich the ancient capital city’s image, texpand the cultural connotation, continue the context of Beijing’s historical and architectural heritage.The temples surrounding Shicha Lake experience four phases,including Sui dynasty,Tang dynasty,Yuan dynasty,and Ming and Qing dynasties.Shicha Lake has the origin relations with the surrounding temples. Firstly, the origin of the name of Shicha Lake has close inseparable relationship with temples Secondly, they borrow scene with each other in the natural landscape.Finally, they affect each other in the social activities.The subject is mainly about the formation of shicha Lake natural landscape,its surrounding temples in different historical period of change and their relationship.The subject combs the change of the natural landscape and the history of the surrounding temples.And their harmonious relations will be discussed further.
