Purpose of this research in the paper are: the author of this thesis have practiced an attempt on the music work "multi-angle study "from the specialty of Performance Art Theory. Aim at⑴By comparing, highlighting four violin sonatas characteristics, in order to facilitate understanding and better playing this four works;⑵Enriching violin sonata theory. At home and abroad, The research of related to the study of violin sonatas, respectively, had been made from the music history, social content, creative techniques, performance techniques, style of performance, and record reviews ect. The overall study abroad is more comprehensive, and theory and practice is relative balance. Violin Sonata studies in domestic are more, higher levels research results in musicology, composition techniques. There are relatively a little articles on performance techniques. And these researches have a tend to the era of baroque, classical, romantic and less on the twentieth century. The research on duet skills of sonata for violin and piano is even few. In the dissertation, the author have made a comparative study to four violin sonatas of different era from three aspects of the works connotation, composition techniques, and playing techniques by applying many approaches, such as analyzing, literature reading and comparing etc. Here are the result of study: First, the works connotation of the four sonatas reflected their era and social trait; Second, the four sonatas reflect the composer’s inheritance and innovation in composition techniques; Third, the playing techniques of the four sonatas show the achievement that these composers had developed the instrument potential and had exerted their expressive capability.
