Awn Needle Deep O Sting Is Acupuncture Point Treatment After A Stroke Shoulder Pain Of Clinical Research

Objective To observe the clinical effects and safety of acupuncturing ashi point with elongated needle in hemiplegic shoulder painMethods60hemiplegic patients with shoulder pain were randomized into two groups:the treatment group and the control group. acupuncturing ashi point with elongated needle were used in the treatment group, and acupuncturing shoulder tri-needles(LI15,SI9and Jianqian) with filiform needle were used in the control group. Visual analogue scale (VAS), frequency score and the usage of analgesic drugs were used to evaluate the pain, while the modified Barthel index(MBI) to evaluate the activities of daily living. After the treatment, evaluated the satisfaction of both groups.Results Due to VAS, the total effective rate of the treatment group was80.0%, while the control group was43.3%, and the difference was significant (P<0.01). After the treatment, the VAS and MBI scores of both groups were significantly improved compared with pre-treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The difference of VAS score between the two group was significant (P<0.05), while MBI score was not(P>0.05).In the treatment group, the difference of shoulder pain frequency score before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.01),while in the control group was not(P>0.05),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The rate of using analgesic drugs before and after treatment was statistically significant (P<0.05) in both groups, while it was not (P>0.05) between the two groups after the treatment. The treatment group’s satisfaction was93.3%, while the control group was90.0%, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05) Moreover, no adverse reaction occurred during treatment in both groups, so its safety was good.Conclusion Acupucturing ashi point with elongated needle can reduce the degree,the frequence of shoulder pain and the use of painkillers and improve the activities of daily living of hemiplegic patients with shoulder pain, and it’s of good safety, simple operation, so it’s worthy for clinical promotion.
