Objective: To observe the effects of Naoxintong capsule on brachial artery endothelia1function and its clinical efficacy of the cerebral infarction convalescence and sequelae patients with TCM syndrome of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stagnation.Method: Enroll13in patients diagnosed of atherosclerosiscerebral infarction combined with the TCM diagnose of the Stroke in the condition of the Qi Deficiency and Blood Stagnation,Who be hospitalized inin the Encephalopathy Department of Dongzhimen Hospital A ffliztwdaffiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from March2012to February2013. with the diagnosis of atneroselesosis cerebral infarction and combined the TCM diagnose of the strake in the condition of the Qi Defieleney and-ef+ey—ami Blood Stagnation.The eandidates,patients were randomly divided into the control group (7patients) and the treatment group (6patients). The difference of the gender composition.age structure,the aberage duration of treatment and the relevant lab check report comparison of the two groups shows no statistically significancet(P>0.05). The treatment group and the control group were treated with the same basic treatment. However, the patients in the control group were given the4Naoxintong capsules,3times/day orally (Shaan.xi step Pharmaceutical Co, specifications0.4g/tablets). After90days of treatment, evaluation was carried our e the score with theed TTCM symptoms score of the two groups, and the U.S. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, and the modified Rankin Scale score and the changed value of reactive hyperemia diameter of the brachial artery endothelial function.Results: After treatment, the score of the TCM Symptomatology and the U.S. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, and the modified Rankin Scale score, and systolic pressure were-improved, showing improvement over the pre-treatment score. Compared with the control group, the score of the treatment group showed an improvement in the4score scales, and the difference of two groups was statistically significanejR-(P<0.05). The score of the diastolic pressure, and the blood-lipid leves, and brachial arterial intima-media thickness and brachial artery endothelia] function testing reactive hyperemia diameter variation values were improved, showing improvement over the pre-trcatment score. Compared with the control group, the score of the treatment group showed an improvement in the7score scales, and the difference of two groups was not-statistically significant (P>0.05).There were no deaths, no significant adverse events and adverse reactions occurred.Conclusion:Naoxintong capsule can improve the clinical symptoms of convalescence and sequelae of cerebral infarction period patients with the TCM syndrome of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stagnation. And it can also ameliorate the artery endothelial function damage with the absentee of significant adverse events and adverse reactions.
