Flooding Wind: Soup Clinical Trials For The Treatment Of Perennial Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is caused by chronic pathologic reaction after contacting aller gens. The main clinical manifestations of AR are stuffy nose, running nose, itchiness of the nose and sneezing, which influences patients quality of life seriously. According t o the onset of AR, AR can be divided into perennial allergic rhinitis and seasonal aller gic rhinitis. According to "allergic rhinitis and its impact on asthma,ARIA", the gl obal average incidence of AR ranges from10%to25%. A sample survey pointed out that the incidence of AR in some districts of West China was as high as34.31%. With the society becoming more industrialized,the environment is also polluted seriousl y. and AR has an increasing incidence in the world. Because of its high incidence an d recurrence,the preventing and treatment of AR has been paid great attention widely in the world.AR belongs to " Bi qiu" in traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine believes that the inner cause of AR is the dysfunction of zang fu organs, and the external causes are climate change, being infected by wind and coldness or other evils. The dysfunction of zang fu organs mainly manifests as the deficiency of lung, spleen and kidney, the location mainly concerns lung and is closely related to spleen and kidney. The pathogenesis of AR are lung qi deficiency and being infected by wind and coldness, lung and spleen qi deficiency and water and dampness damaging the nose, kidney qi deficiency and unfailing ti warm lung or the hidden heat of lung channel infecting the nose. The main method to treat AR in TCM are mainly enriching lung and spleen, expelling wind and releasing exterior, warming kidney and expelling cold, clearing heat and ventilating lung and freeing the orifices.Based on his rich clinical experience, doctor Wang Jinjue holds the view that the base pathogenesis of AR is lung-wei qi deficiency, invading of evils and evils hiding in the blood level. He treats AR mainly by supplementing qi and dispelling wind in blood level, using the basic prescription Qufeng Tongqiao Decoction and adding some other Chinese medicine, which has remarkable curative effect.This article introduces the research progress of AR of the recent ten years, and studie the clinical research of Qufeng Tongqiao Decoction treating Perennial Allergic Rhinitis with syndrome of lung-wei qi deficiency.Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Qufeug Tongqiao Decoction for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis with Lung-wei qi deficiency syndrome,and test its savity and efficiency. Method: Sixty-nine enrolled patients were randomly divided into treatment group of35cases and control group of34cases. The treatment group were administered Qufeng Tongqiao Decoction one dose a day, while the control group were administered Loratadine Tablets10mg each time, once a day. Both interventions lasted for four weeks. Then, observe the symptoms and signs integrals before(the1st day) and after (the29th day) treatment and half one year recurrence rate.Result:(1) After four weeks of treatment, there was statistical significance between the treatment group and control group in the markedly effective rate (57.1%vs20.6%) and the total effective rate (94.3%vs85.3%)(P<0.01).(2) After four weeks of treatment, The integra of the main symptoms and syndrome of the two groups reduced (P<0.01), the improvement of main symptoms of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group (P<0.01). while the two groups had the same improvement in syndrome(P>0.05).(3)After four weeks of treatment, the integra of the associated symptoms of the treatment group reduced (P<0.01). while the control group not(P>0.05).(4)Half one year after the treatment, the recurrence rate of treatment group and control group (24.2%vs69.0%) was of markable statistical significance (P<0.01).Conclusion:Qufeng Tongqiao Decoction is significantly effective in improving the clinical symptoms of patients with perennial allergic rhinitis with Lung-wei qi deficiency syndrome and, has good long term therapeutic effect,its therapeutic effect is definite.
