Purpose: early postoperative inflammatory ileus (early postoperativeinflammatory ileus and early postoperative EPII) is (generally two weeks or so)occur due to operative trauma or intra-abdominal inflammation causes theintestinal wall edema and exudation, thus the formation of both a mechanicalfactor and power factor special type of bowel obstruction, most can be curedby non-surgical treatment. Blind to take a clear understanding of the disease,re-operation, there may bring serious complications of the fistula, severeinfections, and short bowel syndrome, and even threatened the lives of patients. The clinical significance is to deal with the correct understanding of suchdiseases and to take appropriate measures. Our department for many yearsexperience in clinical practice concluded that the surgical trauma of theDepartment of the disease caused by drinking water, phlegm evil knot in theintestinal wall caused by intestinal motility disorder, thereby blocking theintestine, appear pain, vomiting, swelling, closing the obstructive symptoms.Points to eliminate water to drink, to reduce the intestinal wall edema, increased bowel movements for the treatment of this disease is the key. Inthis study, initial therapy in Western medicine were added in the tube injectedinto the proposed Chinese medicine decoction, Glauber’s salt abdomen topicaland acupuncture treatment. Combined by controlled observation of Western totreatment EPII mechanisms and advantages.Material and method:We retrospectively analyzed70cases were treated inour department from January2007to December2010EPII patient medical records,35cases were randomly divided into control group and the other the observationgroup. Basic treatment of intestinal obstruction in the control group: fasting, gastrointestinal decompression, somatostatin and parenteral nutrition supportin the observation group on the basis of the control group injected withtraditional Chinese medicine decoction tube Glauber abdomen topical and acupuncture treatment. By observing patients24h tube drainage <400ml,recovery of exhaust defecation time, abdominal circumference recovery time, hospital stay, confirmed Integrative treatment EPII advantage. Results:The Integrative Medicine in35patients by recovered22cases,accounting for62.86%; effective in8cases, accounting for22.86%; effectivethree cases, accounting for8.57%; ineffective in two cases, accounting for5.71%;clinical total effective rate was94.29%. Control group of35patients,19casesrecovered, accounting for54.29%; effective in five cases (14.29%); effectivethree cases, accounting for8.57%;8cases, accounting for22.86%; totaleffective rate was77.14%. The two groups compared, the total efficiency of thetreatment group of33cases (94.29%), significantly higher than the21cases(77.14%). The two groups had significant differences (P <0.05). Treatment group, duration of remission in symptoms, restore exhaust, defecation time, hospitalization time was significantly better than the control group, two groupshad significant differences (P <0.05).Conclusion:ChineseandWesternmedicineonthebasisofconventionalWesterntreatment play the advantages of Chinese medicine, a significant therapeuticeffect on early postoperative inflammatory ileus, not only to avoid the secondsurgery, thereby reducing the economic burden of physical and mental sufferingof the patients, but also shortens length of stay, improve the cure rate thana simple Western medicine treatment a significant advantage is the treatmentEPII effective method, clinical worthy of promotion.
