Purpose:Observe the clinical effectiveness of the acute cholecystitistreatment with Traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy.Material and method:The cases of56patients were all selected from GeneralSurgery, Hospital Affiliated to Liaoning University of Traditional ChineseMedicine. They are hospitalized between March2008and March2011because ofacute cholecystitis and were randomly divided into control group (28patients)and contrast group (28patients). Both groups received conventional westernmedical treatment, including water fasting, gastrointestinal decompression,pain relief,antibiotics to prevent infection, correcting water, electrolyte,balance of acid-base disorders, and parenteral nutrition. On this basis, Qingdansoup was given to the28patients in the control group.Results:The symptoms, relief time of the patients in the control group weresignificantly shorter than those in the contrast group. In the laboratory data,The body temperature (36.38±0.52) and white blood cell count (7.29±2.29)of contrast group was better than the body temperature(36.65±0.49) and whiteblood cell count (7.35±2.36) of control group. The total effective rate ofthe control group was97.73%, while the contrast group86.36%, which shows usthe significant differences (P <0.05).Conclusion:Based on conventional western medical treatment, the use ofQingdan soup to patients with acute pancreatitis can shorten the time of clinicalsymptoms remissioned, improve clinical efficiency and the recovery of thesituation after treatment, improve the cure rate significantly.
