Purpose: Through theory of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical data, distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes of diabetes peripheral neuropathyhas been discussed and the relationship between common TCM syndromes andcomplication of diabetes peripheral neuropathy has been analysised in thispaper, which is aimed at providing available theoretical basis for Clinicaldiagnosis and treatment.Material and method:144diagnosed DPN patients in Endocrinology ofLiaoNing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine form January2010to January2012have been recorded.Refered to Diabetes prevention and control guidelinesof traditional Chinese medicine and new Chinese herbal medicine clinicalresearch guiding principle in2007,combined with clinical practice guidelinesof Endocrinology of LiaoNing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, according to Qi deficiency and blood stasis、Yin deficiency and blood stasis、deficiency of liver and kidney、 phlegm stagnation obstructing meridiansyndromes,General Information (gender, age, BMI duration Of diabetes), andphysicochemical examination data and associated complications of patients havebeen recorded. The experimental data has been presented with mean±standarddeviation (x±s).enumeration data has been used X2test and measurement datahas been used t test.Results:1. Through statistical analysis, syndrome distribution of144diagnosed DPNpatients are as follows:Qi deficiency and blood stasis is the most syndrome、deficiency of liver and kidney is the least syndrome、Yin deficiency and bloodstasis is more than phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian. There were significant differences between Qi deficiency and blood stasis and Yindeficiency and blood stasis (P<0.05)。males and females are as the sameproportion, and There were no differences between them.2. In age aspect, patients of deficiency of liver and kidney are oldest, whichhas significant differences with Yin deficiency and blood stasis (P<0.05).duration of diabetes of phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian is longerthan other syndromes. BMI of patients with phlegm stagnation obstructingmeridian is larger than other syndromes(P<0.05).There were no differencesbetween four syndromes in HbA1C(P>0.05).3. Qi deficiency and blood stasis and phlegm stagnation obstructing meridianis more than other two syndromes in DPN combined with DN patients, which hasdifferences with deficiency of liver and kidney(P<0.05).Qi deficiency andblood stasis is the least syndrome in DPN combined with retinopathy, which hasdifferences with other three syndrome.4. phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian is the most syndrome in DPN combinedwith Hypertension、 coronary disease、 dyslipidemia patients, which hasdifferences with other three syndrome(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Qi deficiency and blood stasis and Yin deficiency and blood stasis are themost syndromes in diabetic peripheral neuropathy.2. duration of diabetes of phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian is longer thanother syndromes; deficiency of liver and kidney is the most syndrome in olderDPN patients;BMI of patients with phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian islarger than other syndromes.3. deficiency of liver and kidney is the least syndrome in DN patients;Qideficiency and blood stasis is the least syndrome in diabetic retinopathypatients.4. phlegm stagnation obstructing meridian is the most syndrome in diabeticpatients combined with Hypertension、coronary disease、dyslipidemia.
