Phlegmy Wet Constitution Of Heart Rate Variability In Patients With Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Background Obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndromes is an systemic disease,which is fomented by upper airway obstruction. The incidence of adult-onset is about4%. Autonomic nerve and endocrine functional disorder due to the long-term ischemia and anoxia is common in the patients with OSAS. They are easy to complicate with multiple systems and organs diseases. It is serious hazard to human health. Phlegm-dampness constitution is not only closely related with the occurrence and development of OSAS, but also advance the complications to appear by affect the water metabolism of total body. Heart rate variability (HRV) analysis is a functional examination which is non-invasive method for determination of heart autonomic nerve. It could effectively reflect the change in tension of heart the autonomic nervous. HRV is the independent index to evaluate the prognosis of cardiovascular disease, can predict sudden cardiac death.Objective Of this Writing, attempts are made to investigate characteristics of HRV in patients with OSAS and health adult. Methods24h holter mornitoring electrocardiogram was examined in26patients with severe OSAS and21health adult. Results There were21people in control group, including17males and4females, average age was44.3±12.3yr. The OSAS group had26patients, including22males and4females, average age was39.9±8.8; The two groups had no singnificant difference(P>0.05). The average BMI of control group is24.1±2.7,16persons were standard body weight,6were overweight and2were obesity. The average BMI of OSAS group is28.1±3.3,1person was standard body weight,15were overweight and10were obesity. The OSAS group was singnificant higher than the control group. The SDNN and SDANN in OSAS group were lower then those in control group; The HRVT1was singnificant lower then that in control group. It is statistical significance. Conclusion The HRV of the patients of the Phlegm-dampness constitution severe OSAS is singnificant lower than health adult, and the injury of their autonomic nervous were more serious.
