Von Chiropractic Therapy Standardized Clinical Efficacy Research For The Treatment Of Infantile Anorexia

Infantile anorexia is a common and frequently-occurring disease in Pediatrics. The morbidity in infants and preschoolers was reported to be12%-34%. Recurrent or delayed-healing infantile anorexia can affect children’s normal growth and development, and reduce the immunity response.It probable leads to vitamin D deficiency rickets, iron-deficiency anemia, recurrent respiratory tract infection or other diseases, etc.Fengshi Chiropractic therapy was concluded by the famous Professor Feng Quanfu of Traditional Chinese Medicine, based on the clinical experience in four generations which was lasted for more than150yeas. It is a secure, mature and non-wound therapy which is famous in Beijing even throughout the nation. The therapy has good clinical efficacy in the treatment of infantile anorexia. Lacking of complete diagnosis and treatment standard and technological practice standard limits the promotion and application after many years clinical use in Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Within scientific method, a technological practice standard has been made after the preliminary study.This thesis includes literature review and clinical studies.The literature reviews part include summary of the treatment of infantile anorexia in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the review and summed up the main mechanism of Chiropractic therapy.The clinical study part includes making clinical standard of Feng’s Chiropractic therapy and observing the curative effect of standized Feng’s Chiropractic therapy treating129cases of infantile anorexia.Object:Observe the curative effect of standardized Feng’s Chiropractic therapy to infantile anorexia.Methods:Clinical observation cases originate from Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and six kindergarton in Dongcheng and Chaoyang District. Calculate TCM symptom score before and after the treatment and absorption and excretion rate of D-xylose, evaluat of the curative effect.Results:Curative effect of129cases treating with Feng’s Chiropractic therapy is90.1%. Before and after treatment, the TCM scores were13.35±5.58and6.62±1.62. Before and after treatment the absorption and excretion rate of D-xylose were16.44±6.56and18.19±5.56. TCM symptom score decreased significantly after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Absorption and excretion rate of D-xylose was significantly increased after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01),absorption and excretion rate of D-xylose was significantly increased (P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of the of Fengshi Chiropractic therapy treatment of infantile anorexia is definite, and it significantly improve the TCM symptoms of infantile anorexia, and increased the absorption and excretion rate of D-xylose.
