| Lumbar disc herniation(LDH) is caused by degenerative disc or external force, the intervertebral disc rupture, prominent nucleus pulposus tissueirritation or compression of the appropriate level of unilateral or bilateral spinal nerve root, which leads backache, les pain, or bladder, rectal dysfunction and will seriously affect the patient is ability to live and work.Objective:For the past few years, the Saam Acupuncture is popular in the acupuncture of Korea, which is rigorous and ingenious. Saam Acupuncture is remarkable efficacy for difficult miscellaneous diseases. Its prescriptions is composed by the Five Shu Points of the12meridians, base on "xu ze bu qi mu, xu ze xie qi guan; shi ze xie qi zi shi ze xie qi guan to choose acupoints and presented on the12meridians associated the Zhengge; Shengge; Hange; Rege prescriptions, which is unique acupints selection method and practices. To treat lumbar disc herniation as Saam Acupuncture that is opposite to common therapy. In this research, by randomized check experiment to observe and evaluate clinical efficacy of Saam acupuncture treatment for lumbar disc herniation and to discusss its theoretical basis. Meanwhile, provides a new way of acupuncture treatment for lumbar disc herniation.Research Methods:from November2011to January2012, at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Dongzhimen Hospital acupuncture clinic, according to a uniform diagnostic criteria, exclusion criteria and inclusion criteriarigorous screened60patients of lumbar disc herniation whom are diagnosed by CT or MRI. This project conducted check experiment at random.30cases of Saam in the control group, other30cases of traditional acupoint selection, nine times as a course of treatment. Before and after treatment two groups were going to do the visual analogue scale(VAS score), the lumbar disorders scoring criteria developed by the Japan Institute of Orthopaedics Oswestry Disability Index composite score(JOA score) and low back pain and quality of life scores table evaluation. End of treatment, to collect data by Excel and to analyse data by SPSS Statistics20.0.Results:After a course of treatment, the three checks clinical efficacy evaluation results show that the treatment group mean change of VAS scores for the6.73â†'2.43, the average improvement rate of4.30%in the control group mean change of VAS score of7.17â†'3.13, the average improvement rate of4.00%; treatment group mean change for13.03â†'21.70, the average improvement rate of57.75%; JOA score of the control group the average change of11.30â†'19.07, with an average improvement rate of56.08%; Oswestry Disability Index of the treatment group mean change20.73â†'10.23The average improvement rate of24.37%; the average change of the control group, Oswestry Disability Index24.03â†'14.33, with an average improvement rate of22.74%. VAS score after a course of treatment group and control group, the JOA score and the Oswestry Disability Index assessment has a significant effect, although the results of the treatment group was slightly higher, but the test results differences(P>0.05), this that the results between the two groups no significant difference between the Saam in the implementation process of this study with common acupuncture was no significant difference in efficacy. But concern is the standard deviation of the two groups of the assessment results. VAS score improvement of the treatment group was4.30±1.393, control group VAS score improvement was4.00±0.910; JOA score improvement of the treatment group was57.75±21.344control group JOA score improvement rate was56.08±16.331; treatment group Oswestry Disability Index22.74±8.361, comparative data can be drawn to the assessment results of the treatment group standard deviation than the control group significantly increased in the control group was24.37±14.844, Oswestry Disability Index, can be drawn that the efficacy of the treatment group is relatively unstable, the efficacy difference between the control group, although the effect is relatively stable, but its efficacy is more general. On the other hand, the treatment group, a smaller selection of acupoints (5to8acupoints), but their overall conditioning is very strong, other than low back pain, but also to improve other symptoms of neck and shoulder pain, gastrointestinal symptoms, sleep disorders.Conclusion:â‘ Samm acupuncture with common acupuncture has exactly clinical efficacy for lumbar disc herniation, and the two methods efficacy did not show significant differences.â‘¡Samm acupuncture has a strong efficacy for overall conditioning beside the control of low back pain.â‘¢Due to Samm acupuncture is effect of large standard deviation, so that it is required accurate diagnosis in order to get the desired effect.â‘£Samm acupuncture is using the Five Shu acupoints to treat lumbar disc herniation which is a safe and reliable, easy to operate, economic treatment. But At the end of the limbs points when acupuncture pain are heavier, so the poor patient endurance pain for this treatment.⑤Samm acupuncture’s acupoints is using the Five Shu acupoints, to acupuncture parts of the contralateral side, about men left and women right, Before noon yesterday afternoon,96Twirling diarrhea line needle approach, that is different from the traditional acupuncture therapy, to provides a new way for clinical acupuncture treatment.â‘¥Samm acupuncture gives to find in the arms and legs below the knee joint cubits, convenient for treatment. |
