Abstract/Summary:
As one of the most important rotational parts, the rolling bearings havebeen widely used in many fields, such as aerospace industry, vehicle industry,motor, mechanical equipments and so on. Then the rolling bearings areexpanded to use in instruments, household appliances and office mechanicalsystem rapidly. Performance and technical indexes of the rolling bearings drawpeople’s large attention. Among these indexes, the most important quality andperformance indexes (lifetime, reliability, vibration, noise) need to beconsidered in design of the rolling bearings. With the rapid development of thematerial and manufacture techniques and the decreasing of the regenerationperiods of the machine, lifetimes are becoming not the main factor in the designof the bearings. Nowadays, the vibration and noise features of the bearings arethe key performance evaluation indexes, which also effect the bearings’ lifetime.It is indicated that the bearings’ life will be increased with the improvement ofthe vibration and noise performance. Therefore, the vibration and noiseperformance of the bearings are becoming the research spot in the bearingindustry.In this paper, a vibration-noise mathematical model of the bearing structureis developed based on the theory of the nonlinear mechanics and acoustic toanalysis the influences of the bearing structural parameters and lubrication anddamping condition on the vibration-noise behavior. The relationship betweenthe bearing structure parameters and the vibration-noise is obtained by studyingon the structural parameters: radial clearance, groove curvature radius, ballnumber, ball radius, bearing type, lubrication and damping.The purpose of the vibration-noise analysis is to find the mechanism of thedecreasing vibration and noise reduction. The bearings with low vibration andnoise will be designed and produced by considering these mechanisms throughmany methods, such as changing the design structure of the bearings, using thenew materials and so on. Combining with relationship between the structuralparameters and vibration-noise, lots of decreasing vibration and noise reduction methods are acquired by analysis the structural parameters in this paper. Thenew bearings with optimization structural parameters are compared with thecommon ones. It is shown that the vibration-noise reduction effects aresignificant.Finally, in order to simplify the calculation procedure and make it moreintelligent, an interactive interface program is developed by using theMATLAB.
