| Small caliber artillery is widely used to intercept missile in its terminal trajectory by launching a lot of ammunitions within a short time. Each of the fuzes should be set with explosive time so that they can blast in a limited area to form a barrage. Usually there are three kinds of fuze setting systems:muzzle induction setting system, internal bore induction system and chain induction setting system. However, they are not suitable for the new service requirements, which require a more quick setting speed, further working distance, more simple structure and convenient installation.Firstly, a fuze setting system based on radio frequency identification (RFID) has been proposed after the structure and environment of ammunition feed device being analyzed. According to the specified small caliber artillery, the installation method, power scheme and communication project of fuze setting system have been designed, operating parameters and performance index have been calculated. Secondly, in order to achieve the influence made by metallic environment on the fuze RF setting system, high frequency struction simulator (HFSS) and advanced design system (ADS) have been used to simulate the coupling performances of antennas. The simulation results show a better performance when ferrite plate is put in the right place. Finally, the circuits have been designed and procedures have been programmed to realize the system function. A series of experiments have been carried out and the experiments results show that the fuze radio frequency (RF) setting system is exact and credible, it can reach a setting time as short as15.3ms, a second coil as small as Φ6mm,and an operating distance as long as6cm.The research of this topic is significant for the development of fuze setting technology and valuable for the engineering applications. |
