In this paper, using ZigBee wireless sensor network to monitoring of the substation equipment state in real-time and researching the key technologies of wireless sensor network node.Firstly, gives the overall status monitoring program of substation equipment. Selecte the device type and design the hardware circuits for monitoring node and gateway node.Secondly, design two microstrip antenna for wireless communication module CC2430. The first antenna is a directional antenna, through the method of adding additional parasitic patch which can modify the equivalent resonant circuit, the impedance bandwidth of antenna can be expanded. The simulation results showes that the bandwidth of antenna reached11.83%(290M). The second antenna is omnidirectional inverted F antenna. According to the simulation results, the performance of the antenna meets the application requirements.Thirdly, study and design the software and driver for wireless sensor network nodes. Research on software architecture of Z-stack and analysis the principle of communication between nodes. On the basis of the Z-stack, sensor driver is added and complete ZigBee protocol stack transplantation. So realize the communication between nodes and realize the temperature acquisition, transmission and receiving.Finally, the theory of transmission line is analyzed. Based on it. simulate signal integrity problems which existed in high speed circuit of gateway node by HyperLynx. A series of measures are taken to improve the signal integrity of key signals. The post-route simulation results show that the reflection noise decrease to60.25mv, crosstalk noise decrease to80.5mv, so it meets signal integrity requirements. Then study of the electromagnetic compatibility problems which existed in PCB and put forward the corresponding design rules. Eventually, complete the manufacture of the hardware circuit board of monitoring node and gateway node and after be debugged, the hardware works well.In summary, through the researches on these key technologies, complete the design of wireless sensor network node and it provides a strong guarantee for the real-time monitoring of substation equipment state.
