The degree of automation of trimming production line of domestic automotive interior parts is not high, A higher percentage of work need people, Low yield, Product quality can not be guaranteed, not only limit the rapid development of the domestic auto industry, but also restricted the enhancement of the quality of vehicles. The background of the paper are a project of Jiangsu Province Engineering Vehicle Technology Center about a trimming system of the domestic company of automotive interiors (BM2010354). The author have studied the following:(1)Using Solidworks to create three-dimensional solid model of the tool, using finite element modal analysis theory and ANSYS software to solve the natural frequency and critical speed of the tool, at the same time verify that whether The critical speed of the tool was the same with the rotational speed of the trimming tool. Finally, we propose the requirements that the aspect ratio of the tool needs to meet.(2)First presented the clamping scheme at trimming and use mechanical calculations to verify the correctness of the program, then use UG to create three-dimensional solid fixture Figure and calculate the natural frequency by ansys workbench. At last verify that the natural frequency whether to avoid the vibration frequency when interiors trimming.(3)To trim many ABS plastic pieces, then according to the test results to analysis and identify the relationship between the spindle speed and the vibration frequency. What we have done can be used to provide reference and basis for the selection of process parameters in the actual trimming.(4)Trimming the actual product, then using portable roughness tester to measure the roughness of every product, after that establish roughness prediction model about the spindle rotation speed and tool feed speed by response surface theory and MATLAB. At the same time to calculated an optimal set of trimming parameters, what can help for the future actual production.
