In recent years, the developing of the military electromagnetic stealth equipment has brought a dramatic change in modes of warfare, including the traditional radar systems. Due to the characteristics of electromagnetic stealth targets that the scattered wave of the radar signal is very low in the specific frequency band and direction, the research in the detection method for stealth targets has become a vital issue in the various national military. Based on this background, the paper gives out a method of target detection based on the time inversion technique. Time reversal technology was firstly applied in underwater acoustics field and played an important effect in underwater target detection. Energy can focus in time domain and space domain taking advantage of the Multi-path effects in TR theory. Therefore a novel target detection method for stealth targets can be proposed based on the characteristic of TR technology. The time inversion technique has great potential in electromagnetic Anti-stealth.The task of this paper is to research time reversal focus and canceller characteristics and the application in the electromagnetic anti-stealth. The main content as follows:Firstly, the paper introduces the development of time reversal technique, stealth technique and anti-stealth technique, the main stealth and anti-stealth means. Secondly, it analyzes the important technical parameters of the target stealth performance-the radar cross section and introduces a few major RCS calculation and typical objects of RCS estimation formula. Afterwards, it introduces time reversal adaptive interference canceller (TRAIC) algorithm and prove the algorithm with mathematical methods. At the last, the novel method based on TR theory for the detection of the stealth targets is proposed. Change detection method based on time reversal and time reversal adaptive interference canceller method were simulated, with the comparison between the simulation results of the two methods, the characteristics is proved that electromagnetic energy focus on the target automatically.Through simulation results of the target detection based on time reversal, we can see that electromagnetic waves will focus on the target with TR method, specifically the TRAIC algorithm can be good to cancer the scattering interference noise background in the complex scattering environment with the multi-path effects in the environment, this is important to enhance the target detection ability of detection system.
