In recent years, the requirements of transporting belt which is long distance, large capacity and high power grows up increasingly, especially in large-scale high-yield and high efficiency mines when the national economy develops. However, we must master the new technology of transporting belt and research the key technology, so we can design high quality transporting belt. At present the rapid development of their technology in the international and domestic, it incorporates on Dynamic Analysis, Controllable Start, Automatic tension, Multi-point driving and Electronic Control Automation technology and so on.The article integrates above key technology with the research in control system of a long distance, large capacity and high power transporting belt control system. We accomplish the hardware selection of transporting belt control system, make certain the center of control system which is Siemens STEP7-300 and ET200 PLC series. Its communication is based on Profibus-DP. Profibus-DP is completely open network, provides real time control and information service for upsides communication. It inosculates the performance of existing network as a high-speed connection between the controller and I/O device. And more its main characteristics is completely open, high-speed, certainty and reproducibility, using optical cable as the communications medium. We also debug the PLC program, configurate all of the large transporting belt date and show on the industrial computer by WinCC, which is backup HMI.At present the large transporting belt often uses controllable flexible startup equipments, which involve timing fluid converter, frequency control device and CST. The item selects ACS800 series inverter in ABB Co. by comparing their excellences and shortcomings. Because the transporting belt is down transportation, we deploy homemade braking resistor instead of expensive import braking resistor by design and selection. Ultimately we realize the large transporting belt which can start flexibly, stop calmly and multimachine power balance when many poins are drived.
