Karl Popper is a British Austrian philosopher who occupied animportant position in philosophy area in the20th century. As aphilosopher of science, Popper also had the unique and profoundinsights in the field of philosophy of politics rarely, which had theprofound influence. Today the development of philosophy isexperiencing the integration between scientism and humanism, andthe philosophy of science does not only influent science, but alsoimpacts the social science and even every aspect of the humanitiesvia the influence of other philosophy. So the research to theinfluence of Popper’s philosophy of science to his philosophy ofpolitics can help us both to draw a key framework of popper largephilosophical system and to find the support for and the path of thiskind of influence.For the aims above, based on Popper’s book and other scholars’research and through the literature review and the comparisonbetween Popper’s philosophy of science and his philosophy ofpolitics, this paper tries to find the comprehensive understanding ofPopper’s whole philosophy and the possibility of using philosophy ofscience in other fields. The paper is composed by the introductionand four chapters components:Introduction mostly introduces the background, significance,present research situation both at home and abroad, the researchguideline and methods, the academic innovation and the shortage ofthis study.The first chapter introduces Popper’s basic of philosophy ofpolitics--knowledge-ontology.Popper’s philosophy of politics mainly criticizes the historicism and puts forward the concept of open societyand his whole philosophy system is established on the basis of thetheory of knowledge, including the political philosophy.Strictlyspeaking, the theory of knowledge is a part of Popper’s science ofphilosophy. Popper did not introduce the ontology of his philosophyuntil summary it in three world theory finally. This chapter introducesthe contents above.The second chapter introduces the criticism of philosophy ofscience for historicism. Popper paid a lot attention to the important ofmethodology in philosophy and he earliest established his systemof philosophy from the criticism of the inductive method. As KarlPopper’s philosophy of politics including the critical parts and theconstructive parts, this paper also introduces the methodology ofhis philosophy of science in these two parts. This chapterintroduces the critical parts, the use of his methodology of philosophyof science in his criticizing historicism.The third chapter introduces Popper’s support to the open societyfrom his philosophy of science. This chapter is connected with thesecond one, introducing the use of his methodology of philosophyof science in his constructive philosophy of politics(the opensociety),naming trial and error method with the form of "guess andrefute".The final chapter is named the possibility of applying thephilosophy of science in other fields. In this chapter, Popper’sapplication of the philosophy of science in social science is firstlyjudged. And then combining with the criticism to his failure of andthe recognition to the success, I summarizes the possibility of applying the philosophy of science in social science.
