POS-Assistant(POS-AT) Aero Photogrammetry now has become the mainstream Aero Photogrammetry operation mode, it can be categorized into two operation modes: the one is Integrated Sensor Orientation, which only needs a few ground control points; the other is Direct Georeference, which needs no ground control point.In POS-AT Aero Photogrammetry, the element of exterior orientation between POS system acquired and Mapping needed are different, there has two errors between them, the one is Boresight Misalignment, and the other is Lever Arms, which are caused by installation error. It needs to calibrate the system errors when using DG, and now the common calibration method is flight calibration.This paper expounds the two operation modes-ISO and DG, error sources and their calibration mathematical models, on the basis of the flight calibration existence deficiency was summarized, and put forward a new calibration method based on the ground calibration field. At last, the errors of the Integrated System based on the POS system and domestic SWDC aero digital camera are calibrated according to ground calibration test and flight calibration test. This paper mainly studies the content as follows:1. Expounding the flight calibration method and summarizing its deficiency. Based on this, putting forward a new ground calibration method based on ground test field, and expounding the design and construction principle of the ground test field.2. Designing appropriate ground calibration scheme, calibrating the POS and SWDC integrated system using the ground test field, and analyzing the test result. The result shows that it could be achieved the Mapping accuracy of1:500scale using the corrected exterior elements to do DG in the ground test environment, and also indicate that the domestic POS and SWDC integrated system has a high stability.3. Designing appropriate flight calibration scheme and calibrating the POS and SWDC integrated system, at last comparing and analyzing the flight calibration test result and the ground calibration test result. The result verifies that the Domestic POS and SWDC integrated system is reliable and ground calibration method is right and reliable. Also, the stability and accuracy of the Boresight Misalignment and Levers Arms which are got by using ground calibration method are lower than flight calibration, the reason probably is that the ground environment could not replace flight environment absolutely.
