With the continuous improvement in the accuracy of composite system between Global Positioning System(GPS)and Intertial Navigation System(INS),GPS/INS composite system is also introduced into aerial photogrammetry.Its principle is to obtain location of aerial surveying instrument and attitude data with GPS/INS composite system.It can obtain elements of exterior orientation directly through calibration data and pretreatment at later stage can obtain elements of exterior orientation directly through calibration data and pretreatment at later stage.GPS/INS auxiliary aerial triangulation can reduce or even cancel the ground control,in which way to simplify operation process, improve operation efficiency and decrease production cost.On the method and theory basis of GPS/INS supported photogrammetry,this article summarizes and analyzes the related theories of principle,method and technology of GPS/INS composite system.On the basis of these theories and with combination of 1:2000 experimental data of test area,this article compares and analyzes the accuracy of GPS/INS supported photogrammetry and conventional aerial triangulation and control point precision of Direct Georeferencing.It focuses on the evaluation of control point precision measured by GPS/INS supported photogrammetry and main contents are as following:(1)This paper collects literatures and other materials about GPS/INS composite both at home and abroad,summarizes and analyzes related theoretical foundations of GPS/INS supported photogrammetry,which include theoretical foundation of aerial triangulation, mode,principle,method and key technologies of GPS/INS composite etc.(2)Based on the GPS/INS supported photogrammetry,make research and analysis of layout scheme for GRS and calibration field according to related technological standards of 1:2000 areophotogrammetrical mapping.(3)Based on Inpho, make comparative analysis of accuracy of three methods which include conventional aerial triangulation, Direct Georeferencing and GPS/INS supported photogrammetry in test area(1:2000) based on related theories and find out that the plane accuracy of GPS/INS auxiliary aerial triangulation can meet the requirement of 1:2000 mapping accuracy and can’t meet height accuracy completely and it can reach the requested accuracy by add level control point or height control point properly.(4)It is found that the number of laid outside the control point is far less than conventional aerial triangulation if the accuracy of GPS/INS supported photogrammetry control point mapping to meet the accuracy requirements.The experiments verify that GPS/INS supported photogrammetry can be applied to actual production.
