As the first director from Tibet, Pema Tseden, who’s works has various artistic value, that means, the research of Pema Tseden and his works make much sense. The first chapter of this paper introduce the origin of documentary film and it’s development in china, Bazin and Kracauer’s classic theory construct the basis of documentary aesthetics,Pema’s works, are full of documentary aesthetics, complement perfectly with Bazin and Kracauer’s theory, which shows the unique charm of documentary aesthetics in form of art, and truely reveal the Tibet’s unique style and features by content.The second chapter represent Pema’s experience of growing up, which deeply impact on his creative characteristic, the special identity that he is a writer and director make his works different from others. The third chapter analyse that why his film is classified as documentary aesthetics film, and his style of documentary is constructed by something impact or a purpose of achieving something specific.The forth chapter analyse culture and spirit of Tibet which was spreaded by Pema’s film, coincidently, the style of documentary brings many advantages for spreading it.Pema played an important role in following documentary aesthetics in china and spreading culture of Tibet, who make a indelible contribution of spreading culture of Tibet toward China even the World, Pema represent the awareness of Tibetan’s understaning of history and art, moreover, Tibetan’s intellegence and thought show in front of people first time.
