With the rapid development of Chinese as a foreign language teaching, the number of teachers expanded rapidly. The rapid growth in the number of teachers, improve teaching quality to be an important issue currently, especially overseas volunteer Chinese teachers, they are a new force of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and play an important role in overseas Chinese teachers. Investigation and study of their teaching efficacy, on the one hand, it make us know more about novice Chinese teacher’ characteristics; On the other hand, the proposed strategy can promote the professional growth of novice teachers effectively, thereby improving the quality of teaching.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction, involved study background, significance and purposes of research, priorities and methods of research.The second part describes the basic theory of teaching efficacy, connotation, functions, influencing factors, and summarizes the study of the efficacy of teaching at home and abroad.The third part describes the preparation and measurement of the overseas Chinese volunteer teachers’teaching efficacy scale. On the basis of documentation and open-ended questionnaire survey results, writer compiled overseas volunteer Chinese teachers teaching efficacy scale, which composed of5factors and24projects. This scale has good validity and reliability. Then writer investigate volunteer Chinese teachers teaching efficacy using the scale.The fourth part writer discussed the construction, years of teaching, influencing factors of overseas Chinese Teaching Efficacy according to survey results. Overseas Chinese teachers teaching efficacy is composed by five factors:teaching cognitive sense, operation sense, sense of control, intercultural and cultural transmission sense. Volunteer on these five factors varying degrees of difference. Seniority, gender, major influence on these five factors is not obvious; country has a significant impact on intercultural Communication and culture transmission sense. The fifth part is a Conclusion. This section explains the innovation and limitation of this study.
