| The purpose of this paper is to solve the following three problems: 1.What is the basic situation of teaching efficacy of Chinese language teachers in Thailand? 2.What are the factors influencing the teaching efficacy of Chinese language teachers in Thailand? 3.How to improve the teaching efficacy of Chinese teacher volunteers in Thai middle schools?Teaching efficacy refers to teachers’ ability and belief that they can help students and guide them actively.It is generally believed that teachers’ teaching efficacy consists of personal teaching efficacy and general education efficacy.Personal teaching efficacy is a kind of belief and evaluation of teachers’ teaching ability.It is also a kind of self belief and experience to influence students’ success and complete teaching tasks.The general sense of educational efficacy refers to teachers’ self belief in the macro relationship between teaching and learning and the role of education in students’ development.In this paper,95 volunteers of Chinese teachers who went to Thailand’s secondary schools in 2019 were selected as the research objects.Guided by the theory of self-efficacy and teaching efficacy,the teaching efficacy of the volunteers was studied by means of questionnaire survey and interview.Using spss23.0 to analyze the data,we found that: 1.The influence of Thai language level,tenure and motivation on volunteer teaching efficacy is significant.The teaching experience and students’ learning motivation before sending out showed significant differences only in the scores of individual teaching efficacy of volunteers.There was no significant difference in other factors.2.The level of Thai language and the motivation of going to the post have a significant impact on the teaching efficacy of volunteers,and both have positive effects,that is,the better the level of Thai language is,the higher the sense of teaching efficacy is;the stronger the motivation of going on duty,the higher the sense of teaching efficacy.Other variables had no significant effect.At the end of the paper,suggestions are put forward from four aspects to improve the volunteer teaching efficacy.1.Volunteers: correct professional attitude,improve their own ability,listen to local teachers,cultivate the consciousness of positive attribution,and improve the sense of collective efficacy;2.Language Cooperation Center: improve the retention rate of volunteers and inform the volunteers to attend the school in advance;3.Training base: strengthen the training of Thai language link,improve the pertinence of training and pay attention to the practicality of the course;4.Colleges and Universities: strengthen the refinement of practical links,pay attention to the cultivation of language ability,and incorporate the recording micro class into the formal curriculum. |
