The Interaction Research Between Yan Geling’s Novel And The Film Adaptation

Nowadays, people are no longer strange of YanGeling, who writes novel and movie script of "The Flowers of War". The movie of "The Flowers of War" which is released in November2011makes YanGeling famous again. Whether in the field of novel, or in the field of film, YanGeling occupies a very important position. In recent years, more and more people pay attention to Yan Geling and her works. The academic world appears a hot phenomenon called "Yan Geling’ research Vogue". The pluralistic discourse perspective makes the research results colorful, which involved Feminism, humanism, diasporic literature, and cultural narrative and narratology angles. The author attempts to compare the novel with the film adaptation by using close reading to illustrate that it is more like artistic recreation than a just adaptation from novel to film or teleplay. Film or teleplay borrows power from novel, and helps novel to spread wider and longer.
