Sight interpretation training has been an important part of the interpretationteaching. In most countries, the interpretation teaching has already set up a series ofsight interpretation training courses. In recent years, as the demanding for interpretershave gradually increased in China, more and more researchers focus on interpretingtraining method—Sight Interpretation Training. From my own practice on sightinterpretation training, through the observation on English-Chinese sightinterpretation training module, the writer hopes to find out that the studentinterpreters’ interpretation ability has been improved in the following six aspects,which include the source language’s comprehension ability, the cultivation ofinterpreting thought, the splitting and restructuring ability on information, syntacticlinearity ability and the target language expression ability. Finally, through theexperimental study, the writer can summarize a set of feasible tactics to help thestudent interpreters improve their interpretation ability, which include syntacticlinearity tactic, the splitting tactic, the restructuring tactic, the addition and omissiontactic. The paper includes four chapters. In Chapter One,the writer introduces theintroduction of the subject, the importance of subject and the intention of the study.Through the experimental study and conclusion, the writer sets the research directionand purpose. In Chapter Two, the writer mainly explains the experimental procedure.The experiment description is divided into three stages. In the first stage, the writerreviews and analyzes the relevant theoretical research; this part can provide the theoretical support of experimental study. The second stage is the experimental designon English-Chinese sight interpretation training. The writer lists all the parametersand the specific experimental steps in this part. The third stage is the data collectionand the analysis report. The Pre-program Test and the Post-program Test aresummarized into the Analysis Report One and the Analysis Report Two. The teacher’steaching contents are summarized into the Analysis Report Three. In Chapter Three,the experimental conclusion includes two parts. According to the experimental dataand the comparison of the results, the writer finds out that the student interpreters’interpretation ability has been improved in six aspects. Meanwhile, the writersummarizes the six aspects into four feasible tactics to help the student interpretersimproving their interpretation ability. In Chapter Four, through the experimental studyand conclusion, the writer can show readers the major finding, the limitations of thestudy and the suggestions for further research.
