Study On The Common Characters In The Layout, Decoration, Burial Appliances Of Liao Tombs And Five Dynasties And Ten Kingdoms Tombs

By comparing a large number of archaeological materials, this paper particularly analyzed the similarities and differences between Liao Tombs, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Tombs and Tang Tombs through layout, decoration, and burial appliances this three aspects. Find out the evidences that there has an interaction effect between Liao Tombs and Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Tombs in terms of layout with axisymmetric structure or with side room, tomb chamber’s inwall decorated with relief or covered with gold, burial appliances’ornamental theme and techniques. According the above research, make inference that Liao Tombs and Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Tombs have cultural communication with each other. Besides, combined with historical documents, ascertain the causes of this cultural communication.
