Along with the socio-economic development, continuous regulations of the educationsystem, Middle school teachers are facing more and more pressures from the community,schools, parents and students. Blurring boundary between work&life, hard work pressure,are increasingly leading to teacher’s professional burnout, not only affecting the physical andmental health, but also disfavouring the education as a whole. The happiness index of middleschool teachers has a broad radiation, not only enhancing their life quality but also subtlyinfluencing on healthy development of students. With the development of positive psychologyresearch, people focus on the psychological health of teachers from negative emotions such asdepression, anxiety, burnout to pay more attention to the positive emotions such as happiness,satisfaction, optimism and psychological status.As a rural middle school, regional economic environment and local investment ineducation are significantly different from town middle schools. Students are from theTownship and the surrounding countryside. Due to regional economic development, adults aretaking up employment or business out while leaving their children behind. These situationsbring much teaching and management pressure to PT middle school, thereby affecting thesubjective well-being of teachers.Starting from the status of PT middle school, this report used literature analysis,questionnaire, interviews to survey the affecting factors and existing problems of PT middleschool teachers’ SWB. From the dimensions of occupational identity, management, welfare,social support, communication with students, communication with colleagues, personaladaptation, the report try to survey the teachers’ SWB status, while analysing the SWBdifferences between teachers due to different factors such as title, age, gender, grade etc. Theresults of this report pointed out that the SWB of PT middle school teachers is at the mediumdownwards level. Statistics show that most SWB strengthening factors are job stability,occupational liking, work relationship harmony, while most SWB weakening factors includedispatch between work and pay, students difficult to discipline while parents not cooperating,no professional autonomy, social over requirements, work pressure. Finally this report put outsome SWB improvement suggestions for PT middle school teachers, including professionplanning, pressures adjustment, creating a positive work atmosphere and play professionalautonomy.PT middle school is one of the township middle schools in HY area, the results of thissurvey helps the regional education bureau further improve management with decision pursuant to enhance middle school teachers’ SWB. This article also provides related theorysupport for education reform and teachers itself development.
