This paper starts from the perspectiveof social history. The monk group as the object of study isdivided into three part: the basic situation of Buddhist monksgroupã€the monk group in social activitiesã€social control andthe monk group.The first chapter is the basic situation of the LiaoDynasty monk. The monk group has several features such as thehigher cultural background, a large proportion of women andlack of the eldest son. The inner part of the monk group hasdifferent classification. The temple management and the higherhonor monk group make up the upper. First-line managers and academic classes are the middle class. In addition, there isalso a large number of ordinary monks. Effect of class divisionis mainly affected by the original family status, the monksof personal qualities and the rulers preferences. Monksproperty is mainly from the donation beg alms and own business.Property is used mainly for providing for themselves, templeconstruction, buddhist activities consume.
