Changsha Residents Subjective Well-being And Its Relationship With The Objective Of Social Stratum, Subjective Social Stratum

On the basis of the research on the residents’ subjective well-being in domestic and abroad, and the literature of its relationship with the objective social stratum and the subjective social stratum, this thesis finally obtained 320 valid samples selected randomly from questionaires done by the participants of 10 different occupations in Changsha city. Using the methods of correlation and regression, this thesis made clear that the objective social stratum affects the intrinsic mechanism of the subjective social stratum through the mediating role, provided the firsthand material for relevant departments to formulate policy, and guided us for further understanding our needs and pursues, and constantly enhancing the our subjective well-being. The results of the reseach are as follows:1. Changsha residents’ necessity subjective well-being, developmental subjective well-being and transcendental subjective well-being are all above the average level, transcendental subjective well-being is lower than the survival and developmental subjective well-being.2. The old people’s survival and developmental subjective well-being are higher than the young, age makes no significant effect on transcendental subjective well-being; The higher level of education the people have, the higher level of subjective well-being the people will get; Urban residents of all stratum have higher subjective well-being than suburban and rural residents; Gender and marital status make no significant effect on subjective well-being.3. Changsha residents’ objective social stratum has significant positive correlation with necessity subjective well-being, developmental subjective well-being and transcendental subjective well-being; Changsha residents’ subjective stratum has significant positive correlation with necessity subjective well-being, developmental subjective well-being and transcendental subjective well-being, too.4. Subjective social stratum played the mediating role partly in the process of affecting the necessity subjective well-being, developmental subjective well-being and transcendental subjective well-being.
