Wang Xiaobo is a distinctive writer in Chinese contemporaryliterary arena. Many new theories about Wang Xiaobo experienced thechange from “the study of phenomenon” to “the study of text”.Undeniably, Wang became famous to some extent depend upon manynon-literary factors, such as the mass media and followed by readers. Buteventually Wang was recognized completely for pure literature in theworld of letters.His "golden age", medium-length novels,have been takeninto the "classic" as the research object by many researchers. On thecontrary, the novel has been neglected for a long time, which is always astrange phenomenon. Few scholars research directly on Wang Xiaobo’snovels. So, the popularity of " the bronze age" is far lower than the"golden age", but one thing is affirmed that the meaning of literary history about "Bronze Age" has not been fully recognized yet. As to thisnovel collection, Wang Xiaobao use the "in search of unparalleled" as the first step, after theevolution of the “running in the night", finally he achieved the ambitionabout writing the most complicated novel in the "Temple of longevity".The novel is generally considered to be the ultimate goal of a writer for alifetime, including Wang Xiaobao, he puts the ambition of writing“complicated novel” in long novels, In the process of the studying, Ifound that there are some omissions does exist in some details, sometimestoo parodied makes the works lost themselves. However, from the senseof literature history, the "Bronze Age" impacted the Chinese literaryworld, the fact will prove that it will be a classic post modern text, so hasthe double meanings of explanation and reading. In this sense, this will bethe biggest reason for writing this paper. This thesis has five parts, thefirst part reviews Wang Xiaobao main achievements in recent years andthe research space. The middle part is the main body of the paper,including three parts. The first chapter "historical imagination and narrative offbeat" mainly analyzes Wang Xiaobao`s writing backgroundabout “Bronze Age", reviewed the power source of his new historicalnovels, which describes differences in his historical novel creation andthe same period of the vanguard novels, including the wisdom of poeticfeature and artistic imagination, cruel lyric and romantic, return to thestory, and the comedy spirit. The second chapter "landscape art and textmode" is based on narratology and literary stylistics, deconstructs thesethree novels in building the narrative space time, changing the narrativeperspective, and explaining the images. This chapter focuses on thesignificance of layout in the novel. The third chapter "narrative game andskills subvert" researches the structure and language from the Westnarrative point of view. This chapter reflects the spirit of Chinese Poeticsof Wang Xiaobao, drives the local stories use western skills, these alsocan be seen as Wang Xiaobao`s efforts in connecting Chinese andWestern poetics world.The ending part mainly discusses the narrativeopenness of Wang Xiaobao`s "Bronze Age", how to do the imaginativereading.This is the first time that discussing the narrative art of Wang Xiaobao from the whole "Bronze Age", in order to find out the narrativesignificance in Wang Xiaobao`s long novels.
