“た” is only a auxiliary verb in Japanese grammar, but it occupies a veryimportant position. Since “the past” meaning is used frequently, that is named“auxiliary verb in the past”. In fact, besides “the past” meaning, there are“finished”,“found” meanings, and so on. Compared with the Japanese, for thelearning Japanese scholars, they often confused because of several meanings. Sofar, there are more and more studies about the auxiliary verb “た”, but moststudies has been focused on the “past” and “finished” meanings, However, thispaper is exploring the auxiliary verb “た” have the “change” meaning.This paper explains the auxiliary verb “た” represented by the “past”,“finished”and “found” meanings, and describes the change meaning of the auxiliary verb“た”. This chapter led by the words of the change meaning, from “verb” and“adjective” of the change meaning to introduce. Most of the words of “change”meaning are verbs. Some adjectives in conjoined modifiers can also reflect“change” meaning. This paper is mainly to “non-action verbs+た” as a centerfor analysis of “change” meaning. So, this paper is from three forms to analyzethe structure characteristic of the “change” verb. A form is the change of non- action to non-action. To achieve the verb of the “change” meaning is mainly ofnon-action verbs. Another form is the change of non-action to action. To achievethe verb of the “change” meaning is mainly of action verbs. There is also achange form of action to non-action. To achieve the verb of the “change”meaning is mainly of liking the verbs of “kuru”,“neru”, and so on.This paper explains change meaning of the auxiliary verb “た”. And let scholarsbetter using it, and then reflecting ambiguity of the auxiliary verb “た”.
