Study On Confucius Institute Development In Culture Promotion Perspective

This paper makes the content that in order to achieve the new requirement of buildingChina into a prosperous society in an well-rounded way, it should strength cultureconstruction, promote the great development and prosperity of socialist culture, andvigorously carry forward Chinese culture, in which the report of the Seventeenth NationalCongress as the background, and also makes a series of important disposition of promotingChinese culture to the world, strength Confucius Institute construction, which be speciallybrought up to aimed at deepen cultural system reform and push forward cultural developmentprosperity in the October of2011, as the reference, by the analysis to Chinese cultureconnotation, it analyses deeply that promoting Chinese culture to the world has an importantsignificance and historic mission to China modern construction and the whole world’sharmonious development. By summarizing the Confucius’s establishment and developmentcondition, and analysis the main ways for promoting Confucius Institute culture, this paperconfirms the important values of Confucius Institute during the process of promoting Chineseculture. As the carrier, Confucius Institute exist some problems in the development. Byanalysis for the problems, comparing with the cultural promotion experiences of maincountries in the world, this paper bring forwards some suggestions for strengthening anddeveloping Confucius Institute cultural promotion function.The unique charming of Chinese culture decides its values and significance to the World.Chinese culture has a long history and rich connotation; it’s a organism combination for eliteculture and folk culture. Chinese culture has strong vitality and cohesion, it’s the culture withharmony in human and nature, people oriented; it makes the harmony as the most precious,and it has the universal human values. The promotion for Chinese culture has an importantsignificance, and it will contribute to the Chinese traditional culture’s heritage anddevelopment, and display national, strengthen national culture soft power, accomplishadvanced culture’s universal human values, and promote world’s harmonious development.The promotion for Chinese culture have to use the specific carrier, Confucius Institute isthe important carrier and core brand of modern Chinese culture promotion. From the initialestablishment to fast development, Confucius Institute promotes Chinese culture by its uniquepromoting ways; it has an irreplaceable special position during the process of Chinese culturepromotion, and plays an important role for carrying forward and flourishing Chinese culture.Confucius Institute is a culture symbol of contemporary China going out, it contribute topromote our nation’s international discourse power, and creates a good extra environment for elevating Chinese soft power. Through interview and survey to the ten Confucius Institute ofHebei Province which had started to run, this paper investigates the development status ofConfucius Institute’s culture promotional function, and points the existing problems targetedto Confucius Institute’s culture promotion content, which mainly reflects in the followingaspects: the lack of reasonable complete training plan in the main culture promotion body ofConfucius Institute, the content’s lack of exploration for the Chinese culture connotation, theway’s lack of the active motion in the promotion object, the mechanism lack of relatedsystem security, the result lack of healthy supervision and evaluation system etc.Considering Confucius Institute is a young cultural promoter, learning and drawing lessonsfrom other countries has an important significance. This paper explores some usefulexperiences for Confucius Institute by learning and analyzing some successful developmentcharacteristics of culture promotion institutions in other countries. Directing againstreinforcing Confucius Institute’s culture promotional function, this paper brings forward somerelated suggestions as following: perfecting and enriching the content of Confucius Institutecultural promotion; reforming and expanding the ways and forms of Confucius Institutecultural promotion; strengthening the strategic study of investigation and development forConfucius Institute cultural promotion; perfecting effect supervision and evaluation system;facilitating the culture model of promotion-communication–fusion,for promoting theConfucius Institute’s global development.
